Abstract
This capstone project focuses on the development and implementation of a comprehensive training program for clinical instructors (CIs) in radiography, designed to support technologists transitioning from clinical practice into educator roles. The program addresses a critical need for structured professional development in allied health education, where many instructors begin teaching with limited pedagogical training. Grounded in adult learning theories such as Knowles’ andragogy and Kolb’s experiential learning theory, the curriculum emphasizes learner-centered strategies, real-world application, and reflective practice. Core topics include effective student feedback, clinical evaluation, communication, and professional role modeling. The training aims to enhance instructional competence, promote student success, and ensure consistent, high-quality clinical education experiences. This project contributes to the growing body of evidence supporting faculty development in health sciences education and offers a scalable model for radiography programs seeking to strengthen their clinical teaching workforce.
